These People Wanted A ‘Roast’ And The Internet Delivered Everything They Asked For

To be roasted or not to be roasted? That’s the question many have asked themselves, with most going for the former and getting some of the most savage responses on the internet as a result.

Most of us spend our days trying not to be horrible to other people. That doesn’t mean that everyone out there feels the same way – or that people are unprepared to deal with any comments that come their way. If there is one trend that’s caught on in recent years, it’s a roast. No, we’re not talking about a nut roast or meat that your grandma cooks in the oven for hours; we mean when people take flaws about someone’s appearance or personality and turn them into jokes and jabs.

Giving a good roast isn’t as easy as it seems. After all, people have to know how to make it funny if they want to come off as anything other than a bully. Then there’s being able to pick up on small features about someone else that others might not have noticed. Roasts have become so popular that there are entire social media pages dedicated to them where people can upload photos and ask the internet to do its worst. The problem? When you ask the people on the internet to do something mean, they usually go above and beyond with some of the most hilarious roast replies of all time.

Most of us want to be the better sibling

There are savage roasts, and then there are ones that aren’t too bad. Thankfully for this woman, this is one of the latter as someone decided to compare her to none other than Sid, the sloth from the animated ‘Ice Age’ franchise. However, the more we think about it, the more we think that might not be such a bad thing.

After all, who doesn’t love a sloth? They are pretty adorable, let alone the fact they sleep all day and spend their time traveling at their own speed. They seem to be pretty happy animals, so it might be time we all start to take a leaf out of a sloth’s book. We’re just not sure how we’d feel about being the “less attractive” of the two.

Groucho Marx isn’t complete without the iconic mustache

The chances are that if you have to wear glasses, there’s not a lot you can do about it. After all, we can either see on our own, or we need a little help with our vision. While it might not be this woman’s fault that she needs some spectacles to see the world around her, they quickly became the main focus of her roast.

In fact, someone went as far as to compare her glasses to famous comedian and actor Groucho Marx who was known for his iconic glasses and mustache combination. Apparently, they thought this woman needed a refund as her Groucho seemed to be incomplete without the ‘tache. Maybe they were just concerned she was being played the fool by the party store?

Every type of hair deserves to be lived in its own right

For years, the world has seen all kinds of hair trends. Before the turn of the century, it was all about getting crimped locks before the world turned its attention to getting hair that’s as straight as possible. Now, it appears that people are more willing than ever to embrace their natural locks, with this woman seemingly one to add to the list.

Just because she seems to be happy with her natural curls doesn’t mean they were let off easy when it came to her personal roast. Someone decided to savagely compare her curls to the inner parts of cassettes that had been ripped out and scattered over her head, but this might be one of those roasts that have gone too far.

Creating the perfect Mii was never an easy task

Who used to spend hours playing Wii Sports? You’re not alone. The game took over the world back in 2006 and has been a staple party game ever since. After all, there were so many games to play with family and friends, and it usually didn’t take long for people to get a bit too competitive. Does this woman look a little familiar? You’re not alone.

Source: Reddit/Flpolytechnocats

It appears that someone in the roast comments knew they had seen her face before and suddenly had flashbacks to all those hours on Wii Sports, specifically the bowling portion of the game. Now that we think about it, it was always so tough to create a Mii that looked like us, but it seems this woman might have had an easier job.

Garden gnomes without their hats are a sight to behold

If you feel this guy looks a little familiar, then you’re not alone. It turns out that someone roasting him thought the same thing and suddenly realized there was a reason he looked like someone they had seen before. Does a garden gnome ring a bell? Just picture this guy wearing one of the iconic hats, and you might be able to imagine it a little bit more.

Source: Reddit/KevieSmash

There is often something so special about the first time we see something, such as when we spot a bear in the wild or see Niagara Falls. From the tone of this roast comment, we get this impression that this person won’t forget the first time they saw a garden gnome without his hat anytime soon.

If you need a nametag, it could be time to leave

Family reunions. While they are supposed to be a time to catch up with all the members of our family we don’t get to see that much, many of us waste no time in thinking about how we can leave without seeming rude. After all, there is a reason we don’t usually see most of our family members, and they remain extended.

Source: Reddit/Naoemiv

This roaster went above and beyond with their savage comment, as they decided to poke fun at the fact this woman seemingly blends in whenever she arrives at a family reunion. We’re not sure what gave the roaster that idea, but we’re sure the comment probably burned more than it should. Hopefully, it’s not true, and there are no name tags in sight.

Not everyone’s eyebrows are on fleek enough for the internet

Eyebrows are something that can make or break a look. Some of us love nothing more than to spend hours trying to make the twins look identical, while others don’t give them any thought. This appears to be a woman who loves to spend a good few minutes working on her eyebrows, and she probably went all out before posing for a photo for her roast.

Source: Reddit/Xcross_bonesx

Little did she know that her efforts would soon become the focus of her roast, but that was just the beginning. It turns out this was a roast of two parts. While someone kicked things off by asking where they could buy “Velcro eyebrows,” someone knocked out the park with the response “the dollar store.”

Not everything should be turned into a DIY home hack

If you’re a fan of social media and getting thrifty, there’s a good chance you’ve jumped on one or two of the trends of trying to do a home hack, right? There are so many ways we can get thrifty, such as upcycling our furniture, crocheting our own blankets, and following beauty hacks to get the appearance of our dreams.

Not everything should be turned into a DIY home hack
Source: Reddit/Unknown

That doesn’t mean that everything should be done at home. If there is one thing that’s probably best to avoid, it’s cosmetic procedures. The person roasting this woman thought she must have given things a go and decided to use that as the focus of their savage roast. Of course, we have no idea if they were onto something or trying to poke this woman where it hurts.

No one wanted to be a part of this party, not even the hair

We have to start by asking whether this guy wanted to be roasted or not. No, we’re not talking about the look on his face as he poses for a snap; we mean the piece of paper he’s holding. After all, it seems he wants to be “roosted” instead, but we guess he must have been in the right place judging by the responses he got to his request.

Source: Reddit/NotoriousMaple

Someone decided to take things to the personal level by taking full aim at this guy’s hairline and how it seemingly wants to be as far away from his face as possible. We bet that roast wasn’t enough to turn his frown upside down. Hopefully, he eventually saw the funny side of it all?

Smiling is optional when it comes to posing for a roast photo

They say that if you smile, the whole world smiles with you. Sadly for this woman, smiling was all she needed to do to give the internet the ammunition they needed for her roast. If there is one thing people need to remember, it’s that people don’t hold back on the internet – especially when someone is asking for people to poke fun at any flaws they can see.

Source: Reddit/Daddysufjan

That was the case for this woman as she posed for a snap. Not only is the roast one of the more savage on the internet, but it also leaves us with gross images of how many years of gum must be lying under those desks by now. We certainly don’t want to find out for ourselves.

Even someone’s makeup skills aren’t safe when it comes to an internet roast

Being roasted is a strange thing. Thankfully, most people learn to laugh off the comments and don’t think too much about what the rest of the internet has to say. However, that doesn’t mean that people can go into a roast without a bit of preparation. After all, the internet will take aim at just about anything they can in order to create something hilarious.

Even someone’s makeup skills aren’t safe when it comes to an internet roast
Source: Reddit/Unknown

In this woman’s case, it was her makeup. It seems that someone thought she had a little too much foundation on and that her acne was suffering as a result. Of course, talking about acne can be a sore subject for most of us – and in some cases, literally – meaning this roast might have hurt more than it was intended to.

Never ask the internet why you don’t have a girlfriend unless you want to get hurt

It seems as though this man took a different approach when it came to his roast. Why? He actually gave the internet something to work with, and he didn’t have to wait long before the savage responses came rolling in. If there is one thing this roast has taught us, it’s to never ask the internet why we have never had a girlfriend at 24 years old.

We guess he probably thought that he would get some offers of love or that everyone would feel bad about his relationship status. Little did he know that people would flip this back on him and use it to compare his face to two celebrities mushed together. Now they mention it, they could be onto something.

Having grooves in all the wrong places is never a good thing

We can’t say that we have ever thought too much about our handwriting, as we’re guessing that most people who ask for a roast on the internet haven’t either. Little did this woman know that the way she wrote her “Roast Me” was about to become the talk of the internet thanks to one particularly savage roaster.

Source: Reddit/Millekri

It seems they thought her writing was “decent” at first but quickly realized there are some things they’re not so happy with when it comes to her handwriting. Sadly, that also became the focus of their roast. We hope she didn’t take the burn too personally, as there’s usually not much we can do to change our handwriting. After all, how are you supposed to change the habit of a lifetime?

Hair trends don’t always have the same impact on everyone

Let’s face it; there have been plenty of hair trends that have graced the planet in recent years. One of the biggest to hit the market is having bright red hair. Just take the likes of Hayley Williams, Rihanna, Bella Thorne, and Emma Stone. They have all rocked red hair at some point in their lives and pulled it off with ease.

This woman? It appears that someone was less than impressed with her take on it all. We guess that she wanted to achieve the brightest hair she could manage to rock for the rest of the world. Unfortunately, someone thought the shade looked a little too much like a stop sign – and wanted the woman to know their true feelings.

Lorde knows how to rock the look, but not everyone can pull it off, apparently

There are so many pop singers in the world that it can be tough to choose a favorite. That hasn’t stopped plenty of people from trying, with the likes of the Beyhive, Little Monsters, Arianators, and Katy Cats all showing their dedication to some of the most prominent singers in the world. Believe it or not, but Lorde has been open about how she finds pun-fuelled fan names “grating.”

That hasn’t stopped millions of people from falling for the singer’s music, with many overjoyed thanks to the 2021 release of her album ‘Solar Power.’ Perhaps it’s no wonder so many people have taken inspiration for their looks from Lorde? While it might seem like a great idea, not everyone on the internet is here for the trend.

Hanson isn’t always considered the biggest inspiration for fashion trends

There was once a time that it felt like everyone and their dog was humming along to ‘MMMBop’ thanks to the trio that came in the form of Hanson. The brothers were just kids when they landed their recording contract and quickly released one of the catchiest songs of all time. However, they seem to have disappeared from the world ever since.

Source: Reddit/Unknown

That doesn’t mean that people have forgotten the trio, including the person behind this savage roast. In fact, they were worried that the other two Hanson brothers might be looking a little worse for wear if this is what one of the original group looks like now. In case you wondered, Hanson is still making music and releasing albums.

Perhaps this guy needed a part in the animated hit Up?

Insults and roasts come in all shapes and sizes. Leave it to the internet to come up with some of the most savage of all time, especially when it comes to the Roast Me subreddit that has seen people from all walks of life get torn down in seconds, thanks to some clever burns and clever insults.

Perhaps this guy needed a part in the animated hit Up?
Source: Reddit/Unknown

We guess this guy never thought about how far the internet would go when he uploaded his addition to the subreddit. It wasn’t long before someone decided to compare his head to none other than a balloon, more specifically a balloon used at kids’ birthday parties. At least if he ever struggles to find a job, he has this reference to show any future employee.

Having blue hair doesn’t mean that you don’t care after all

It seems there are two types of single people in the world: those who want to find a partner to have by their side and those who love the single life more than anything else. While we have no idea if this woman has someone to call her own or not, it appears the internet had its own opinions. Specifically, they believe that she is looking for someone to put a ring on her finger.

As if that insult wasn’t bad enough, they quickly turned things around by comparing her hair and outfit to none other than Sonic from the hit game franchise. Anyone who has played the games probably remembers it’s his job to collect all the rings, something Reddit believes she’s failed to do so far.

Who doesn’t want a Walgreens Assistant Manager by their side at a moment’s notice?

What’s the first thing you would do if you found a magic lamp with a genie inside ready to give you three wishes? Perhaps you would use it to find your true love? Maybe you would ask for unlimited money that means you could have everything you’ve ever dreamed about in the world? Sadly, most of us will never get to have that fun.

Source: Reddit/PantherU

That hasn’t stopped plenty of people from dreaming about the day they find a dusty lamp of their own. You might want to avoid the one this roaster describes unless you want someone who looks like a Walgreens Assistant Manager to appear. This might not be such a bad thing if you need to figure out a discount at Walgreens in a hurry.

It appears the emo movement never really ended

Did you ever have one of those moments when you found yourself screaming “It’s not a phase!” to your parents? You’re not alone. The emo movement saw people across the world unite as we all grabbed studded belts, the tightest of all skinny jeans, and everything we could from Hot Topic.

Although it often feels as though those days are long gone, it seems that some squeezed through the gaps and have made it out the other side. Now, they are the subject of some brutal roasts on the internet. Not only did they have one savage comment to deal with, but someone else backed them up with their own opinions. The question is: which one is the more brutal of the two?

Affirmative, we have found a savage roast – over and out

There are plenty of reasons that people want to be roasted by the internet. Some want something to do to pass the time. Others want to know the flaws other people see in them. This security guard? We have no idea what made him put himself forward for the chop, but it seems the internet delivered with his request.

Source: Reddit/Ben_snipes

There are plenty of things that people could have focused on, such as his facial hair or job, but it appears one person wanted to concentrate on the package as a whole. Amazingly, it doesn’t take much to imagine this guy saying “Negative” or “affirmative,” making this one of the special clever roasts that tend to hit a little harder than most.

It comes to something when you start to roast yourself

There’s a good chance that most of us have seen an episode or two of the animated show ‘American Dad.’ It’s one of the latest Seth MacFarlane sitcoms on the air and has drawn in millions of fans since it first hit the small screen in 2005. One of the fan-favorite characters from the show is none other than the alien Roger.

He’s known for his elaborate costumes and backstories that let him sneak out of the house and has become an icon in his own right. This woman uploaded a snap of herself to get roasted by the internet. Still, it seems she wanted to stay one step ahead of the game and roasted herself before anyone else had a chance.

This is what happens with a bit of imagination and Playdough

If there is one thing we will defend until the end, it’s that Playdough can be enjoyed by anyone of any age. The smell, the texture, the endless possibilities – there is nothing to hate about a bit of Playdough, right? The more we think about it, the more we believe we should be allowed to carry a pot of the good stuff in our purse without being judged.

Whatever the case, there’s a good chance that many of us played with Playdough in kindergarten and created some kind of blobby mess at some point in our lives. While we’re not saying we agree with this roast, it seems those art disasters were the inspiration behind this savage comment. Hopefully, this guy somehow missed this roast comment…

Some people love to give internet roasters all the ammunition they need

Sometimes, roasters have to think outside of the box if they want to come up with something hilarious to say. Other times? It appears the people asking to be roasted give the internet all they need to be as savage as possible. Sadly, the latter was the case when this guy posed for a snap for the subreddit.

Source: Reddit/Unknown

Did he really think that no one would focus on the fact he appears to be missing his two front teeth or was he hoping that people would use that and only that? Whatever the case, it wasn’t long before the gap became the talk of the internet and resulted in some hilarious comments. This roast is just two words, but it sums up the photo so perfectly.

No one knew that skincare would become the focus of this woman’s roast

There are times in our lives when we need to step back and make time for ourselves. After all, if we’re trying to run on empty at all times, then it might not be long before we find ourselves burned out and in need of a break. Self-care has become a major aspect of many people’s lives, with people spending thousands of dollars to look the best they can at all times.

Source: Reddit/Artscoolfool024

However, we can’t say that we’ve ever heard of someone using a corn dog as the basis of their skincare routine. Still, that didn’t stop someone from pointing out what they believed was the obvious when this woman asked for the roast of a lifetime. The internet really does cut deep on occasion.

The proportions of your face can become the ultimate roast fuel

Let’s be honest; many of us have spent hours sat in front of the mirror analyzing every aspect of our face. It might come as little surprise as we see our faces less than everyone else in the world. Just because we are allowed to make comments about our faces doesn’t mean that everyone can have a go. At least, that would usually be the case.

Source: Reddit/Irunforfunandtits

Unfortunately for this guy, he decided to ask the internet to give him a full roast, and it quickly turned into one roaster focusing on nothing but his features. It seems they were pretty offended by the proportions of his nose to his lips. Just when we thought that was enough, they come back in with roast 2.0.

A nose within a nose is a nose no one else knows

Many of us have been accused of being nosey at some point in our lives. It usually means that we’re trying to find out all about someone else’s business, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Asking someone about their day and pushing for an answer can be all someone needs to open up about something in their lives.

A nose within a nose is a nose no one else knows
Source: Reddit/Unknown

Of course, it can also be because some people want to gossip about someone’s life as soon as they have all the information they need. This woman? She was called nosey for an entirely different reason and one that she has probably never heard. If you look closely, you might just see what this roaster was talking about, but we think it’s time there’s justice for all noses.

Being two-faced doesn’t always have the same meaning

Being ready to take on the day can be challenging for many of us. After all, some find themselves getting out of bed hours before they need to leave the house, so they have enough time to get their hair and makeup sorted for the day. It looks as though this woman knows her way around a brow kit and how to apply some intense eyeliner.

Source: Reddit/Batmaniscarys

However, that didn’t stop people from using that against her when it came to the grand roast. One person was quick to point out how this woman’s multiple nose piercings almost look like a face all on their own. Sadly, they somehow think the fake eyes on her nose have better eyebrows even though they have none at all.

Working in a coffee shop has taken its toll on one person

One of the best things about having so many different jobs on the market means there is something for almost everyone. Although many of us can think of nothing worse than having to work with the public, others thrive when they have the chance to talk to new people at all hours of the day. This guy?

Source: Reddit/Leninmccarthy

It appears as though he’s over his job at a coffee store. At least, that’s the feeling we get from his expression. He did use what he had at his disposal, though, and wrote his “Roast Me” on a coffee cup before someone jumped in to point out that his hair and career aspirations appear to have something in common – they’ve both ended.

The Grinch who stole the roast me section of Reddit

Some roasts are more obvious than others. Other times, people have to get a little creative if they want to come up with something to point out about someone. This appears to be one of the latter times as people were grasping at straws when it came to something harsh to write about this woman. That didn’t mean everyone was willing to give up entirely.

Source: Reddit/Detkanmanikke

Someone eventually found a way to poke fun by comparing the woman in the photo to the Grinch. You know, the Dr. Seuss character who stole Christmas until he realized the error of his ways and his heart grew two sizes? That’s the one. While it might not be the first thing many of us think, it was enough for this roaster.

Call anyone “soft” and see what happens at the end

There are usually two versions of ourselves. There is the one that we show to the rest of the world and the one who stays hidden until we’re behind closed doors. From the looks of this guy, he seems to want to show off his tough-guy demeanor to the rest of the world. His snapback, tank top, and tattoos certainly give us that impression.

Call anyone “soft” and see what happens at the end
Source: Reddit/Unknown

It appears we’re not alone, as roasters also thought he might have been trying a little too hard to tell the world that he’s not to be messed with no matter what. That is until they got to his face and thought it looked more “soft serve” than “hardcore.” We’re not sure that roast would have gone down too well with the man in question.

Every inch has to be thought out before an internet roast

If there is one thing that people need to remember, it’s that every inch of a photo will be scrutinized if you ask the internet to roast you. This woman probably had no idea that her shade of lipstick would be the thing that stood out so much to the wonderful people of the internet, especially as she probably put a lot of thought into her look.

Source: Reddit/Pterodallison

That didn’t stop her from asking the internet for a roast – and they delivered. Although the keyboard roasters probably like to think they’re above knowing about lipstick, they seem to have a lot of knowledge on the matter. Now we’re just left wondering where we can get our hands on “White Gal Internal Sorrow” and if they have it stocked at Sephora?

One roaster just wants to save the environment in any way they can

Many of us are used to hearing about all the ways we should be trying to save the planet. From organizing our recyclables to using public transport and everything in between, there is no end to the number of changes we can make to ensure we’re all doing our part for the planet. That even means using as little plastic as possible.

Source: Reddit/Unknown

Sadly, it wasn’t long before this woman found herself getting compared to plastic in a clever yet hurtful burn. We assume they are talking about her platinum hair and makeup, but we’re still trying to work out if the roaster went too far. In the end, not roasting this woman has created one of the most savage roasts of all time.

Never mess with the Potterheads if you want to sleep at night

Of all the fandoms in the world, Potterheads seem to have some of the loudest voices of them all. These are the ones who love all things Harry Potter and the world that J. K. Rowling has created over the years. From spin-offs to the Wizarding World and everything in between, there is so much Harry Potter to keep everyone interested.

It seems that one roaster thought this woman looks like someone who loves all things Harry Potter. Perhaps she’s one of those who spends her lunch breaks taking quizzes to find out what house she would be in at Hogwarts? Whatever the case, someone found a clever yet hilarious way to point out what is probably her favorite franchise of all time.

The warning error most of us dread seeing pop up

One of the many things we fear is having a warning error pop up on our computers. After all, it usually seems as though we need a degree to understand the things in the first place. What are we supposed to do when they don’t work the way they should? That doesn’t mean that all error codes are bad, just as this person has proven.

They decided to turn the entire thing around when this woman wanted to get roasted by the internet. It wasn’t long before someone noticed that she appears to have a thin top lip. Rather than simply point out that fact, they turned it into a hilarious roast. This one was almost too easy for a roast.

It’s a long ride from one side to the other

Many of us have something about ourselves we would change. Perhaps it’s something on our bodies or a part of our personalities? Whatever the case, most of us with a few insecurities wouldn’t usually put ourselves forward for an internet roasting session. We can only assume this woman felt entirely comfortable in her skin before she uploaded this request.

It’s a long ride from one side to the other
Source: Reddit/Unknown

That didn’t mean everyone was about to hold back, as someone quickly honed in on her forehead and how it appears to be a little larger than most. Thankfully, a large forehead isn’t the worst thing in the world. That is unless people really do start charging to get from someone’s eyebrows to their hairline. In that case, she might be in trouble.

A two-in-one roast didn’t need many words to get the point across

What’s better than roasting one person? Roasting two at once, of course. That was the case for this pair as they decided to pose for a snap and asked the internet to do its thing. Several people have learned that people come in all shapes and sizes. Some don’t make that much of an impact on our lives, while others know how to leave a lasting impression.

It can be easy to feel as though no one understands how we truly think and feel, especially when we’re still finding our place in this world. From the outside, it appears as though this pair are two to add to the list, even though most of us have been there and know just what it’s like.

Birthday roasts don’t always go to plan for everyone

What do you want for our birthday? Most people would settle for a new piece of jewelry or something they have had their eye on for months. The chances are most of us don’t want to celebrate our big day with the ultimate roast from the internet. That didn’t stop this woman from uploading a photo of herself on her big day and letting the internet do its worst.

Source: Reddit/Unknown

Being her birthday wasn’t enough to keep the savage comments away, with most people not believing that it was her 28th birthday. In fact, this roaster decided to point out that it seemed to be her third 28th birthday in a row. Maybe she’s really a time traveler and was telling the truth this entire time?

A group that mines together stays together

There is nothing quite like having a group of friends by our side who are there for us through thick and thin. That appears to be the case for this group, especially as their dress sense gives us the hint they have plenty of things in common. Several people love nothing more than heading back from a day at school and unwinding with some video games with their friends.

Although there is nothing wrong with the idea, it appears the internet isn’t here for it when it comes to this group. Everything about the photo screamed “we met on minecraft” to one roaster, who was quick to take them down with their simple yet effective roast of seven people at once.

Blending in isn’t tough if you’re prepared for the situation

You’re not alone if you thought the internet would be a little kinder to someone who serves our country. Then again, we guess that if you don’t want to be roasted, you probably shouldn’t post a photo of yourself asking the internet to do their worst. We assume the woman in question probably wasn’t overly thrilled to hear that she blends into the background.

After all, most of us don’t want to know that we make no impact on anyone’s life, especially if we’re not prepared for the savagery from the internet. It could be time to rethink all these roast requests. Then again, if people have a tough enough shell to deflect the insults, we’re more than happy to enjoy the results.
